The odds maker builds a line from the ground up - Elo and schedule-adjusted power ratings from the season tape, a two-sided offence-versus-defence unit matchup, both injury reports weighted by each player's real share of team production, plus rest and travel - and measures it against the book's moneyline and spread. The Fantasy tab reads your ESPN league and scores ESPN's raw projections with YOUR league's own scoring rules (ESPN publishes projections as stats, not points, so a total only exists relative to a league; this package holds no hardcoded stat table), then recommends start/sit swaps and never starts a player who is ruled out. It reads the week's fixture and optimises against that one opponent: the recommended lineup maximises the chance of OUTSCORING THEM rather than the projected total, which starts the volatile player when you are an underdog and the steady one when you are favoured, and it always shows what the safest lineup would have won instead so a recommendation that gives up projected points has to visibly buy something. Everything is registered before kickoff and graded afterwards - the odds maker on closing-line value, the lineup advisor on what the benched player actually scored - and the ledger keeps the projected gain beside the actual one. No order path, and no route that changes a lineup on ESPN: it advises, you act.
